Method
- Add almond flour, oats and arrowroot starch to bowl and give it a quick mix.
- Add onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, paprika, salt, sesame seeds, nutritional yeast and the required amount of water and mix well.
- Once the batter is ready, pour it in to a waffle iron and cook for a few minutes.
- Serve warm with a side salad or sautéed vegetables.
- Top it with non-dairy yogurt sour cream, if you prefer.
Notes
- Rolled oats gives a nice texture to the waffles but if you do not like it, add oat flour instead.
- You can switch the oregano with the herb of your choice. Just remember that dry herbs are potent, so a little goes a long way.
- Nutritional yeast gives a cheesy flavor to waffle. Replace with parmesan cheese if you can consume dairy. It will still be delicious.
- A side of salad or vegetables makes it a complete meal.
